At DalesRunner we love nothing more than getting out and exploring the amazing landscapes of the Northern Yorkshire Dales and Northern Pennines. Whether you are looking to start trail running or wanting to recce one of our race routes we have a range of options to suit your running ability and goals.
Our guided runs are led by us personally. We are both Coaches in Running Fitness and Jess is a recently qualified Hill and Moorland Leader.
Group numbers are strictly limited to 15 to allow us to provide the experience you need. Each route is graded and we also set a target pace to allow you to chose the right day out for you. Our guided runs are a non-competitive experience Each event will have a mandatory kit list.
As your guides, we will be carrying a first aid kit, group shelter, map and compass.
Level 1 – These routes will be mainly lower level on clear trail paths or tracks. These routes will be a good option for those looking to try trails for the first time or for those building their overall fitness level.
Level 2 – These routes may involve some technical sections and some longer ascents. A reasonable level of fitness will be required although distances will generally be below 10 miles and expected times will be 2-3 hours.
Level 3 – These routes will involve a greater level of ascent and technical or boggy sections. Distances will generally be 10-14 miles and expected times will be 3-4 hours depending on the target pace of the group. Level 3 routes may be longer in distance if the terrain is less challenging (E.G. Mainly on tracks) but this will be detailed in the description.
Level 4 – These routes will be full day options of 14+ miles, expected to last 4+ hours.
